7 Comments in Response to Israel's Flotilla Raid
They have no claim on the land unless their name is on the deed. If it's not, then they may have a desired claim on the land, but this does not preclude them from having to legitimately acquire the land. If there are people living there, Israel can't just bulldoze someones house and then claim that it belongs the settlers.
Tom,
Perhaps I was not clear. I was simply trying to point out that Israel as a cultural nation has some claim on the land. The fact that Jesus walked and lived there proves this. Israel today is a political region, yes, but many of the people that live there consider it the land of their forefathers and act accordingly. This needs to be taken into consideration when looking at the entire picture. This was my point. Being able to consider Jesus as Palestinian proves the point, and no he wasn't happy with the guys in charge either. Thank you for engaging in discussion.
4409. I don't use the KJV and would be happy to discuss that sometime, that is if you can get past the name calling. Pie Hole? Since were talking Bible here, please have a look at Matt. 5:22. Wouldn't wan't you to burn or anything.
lol...L.R. from your last sentence, I see exactly where you are coming from. The bible is a religious book, not the law of the land. In the country we live in, everyone is created equal, and have certain rights, like property ownership. Zionists believe that certain races and religions are superior to other races and religions. They believe that god gave them land that is currently occupied by someone else, and this gives them the right to steal it. Israel is a religious state and not a democracy as some claim. Until they respect other peoples right to exist, and own property, and they give up their illegal state sponsored settlement policy, then they have no right to complain about terrorism because they are the terrorists.
Gaza has every right to bring in badly needed supplies and the Israeli blockade is illegal. This makes Israel the aggressor. Plain and simple.
Dear L.R.
I think you need to open up a king James Bible. It was the land of the Philistines and Gaza had a political boundary when Jesus was walking the earth. You could say that Jesus was a Palestinian...he definitely was NOT an Israeli.
The political state of Isreal did not exist till thousands of years later when a bunch of Europeans got together made a fake claim and named a state after the MAN Israel. You sir need to open the bible and do some research before opening your pie hole.
Thank you for having the courage to show the other side of the story. There are always two sides. Seems to me the other commentators are happily willing to jump on the "Bash Israel Media Bandwagon."
Was Israel completely right? Probably not. A complete, unbiased picture is necessary however, instead of a cut an dried "the Zionists are the bad guys" response. Those that would let the Palestinians run all over Israel blowing up innocent children are the same ones that want me to pay for medical care and education for illegals in our own country. As serious look at a commentor's agenda is necessary.
Please don't give me the Israel kills the Gazan's response. I know it, everyone does. However, the Gazan's kill the Isralis. Is that justified? When is killing ever justified?Who breaks the cease fires? Usually not the Israelis.
As for the comment about the Gaza not ever having belonged to Israel, somebody really needs to read his Bible, if he own's one.
Dear Mike (Zionist) Renzulli,
1. The Flotilla was in international waters when it was pirated.
2. The Israeali military had NO right to piratre that ship like a bunch of terrorists.
How can you claim the people on the boat were the aggressors? If I busted down your door to your home with a M-16 and threatened you.. who is the aggressor you or me? Israel does NOT own Gaza and they have no claim to it and NEVER will.
Please, nine dead, several dozen injured. None Israelis. Whom initiated force? Whom was justified in responding to that force?
