They're back!! Carrots and Golden Beets.
I thought this would be a great time to update you on the farm, tell you about the Farm-Vendor Market, Aquaponic System, new shipping details and the wonderful veggie list for opening weekend on January 9, 2016. Whew!!!!!!!!!!
More Honeymoon Lettuce, starring "Lettuce Alone".
Beginning with the date: January 9, 2016!! Tonopah Rob's Vegetable Farm opens for the new year. It's all natural, it's nature grown and it's way better than organic.
Now that the insects and animals are hibernating, the farm is looking awesome. The greens look beautiful and the broccoli has a great old-fashioned flavor. The carrots are really sweet and the beets are "melt in your mouth" tender. The farm is green, healthy, growing amazing vegetables and fruits…….the oranges will be ready….I've already had a few…talk about sweet and no lingering bitter flavor. I could have eaten the whole tree but decided to leave some for y'all.
This is B.S. Tis' the season for Brussels Sprouts!! Can you see them holding onto the mother trunk?
Also on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Farm-Vendor Market is up and running. Joe the Fisherman will have his tasty Alaskan Salmon, Fonda, will have her delicious bottled sauces, Evie will be there selling her jams, jellies, breads and pastries, Pierre's Prime Beef will be selling their grass only fed and grain finished beef. Rosemarie will have a wide assortment of Tupperware for sale and Tonopah Rob's All Natural-Nature Grown Vegetable Farm will have an impressive selection of fruit and vegetables.
Pomegranates!! Just one of the seasonal fruits available opening day.
Tonopah Rob's will begin shipping January 11, 2016 all across the nation. If you want pure food, Tonopah Rob is now a click away. To begin, take a look at the veggie list and click onto the new tab shipping and ordering. Tonopah Rob can ship across town or to D.C. Anywhere in the United States.
Yep, it's ready for the tables too, delicious sweet broccoli.
Thanks to the many folks like Tom and Mary and their son for kick starting the new Aquaponic Greenhouse. They and others have been so generous to come over and donate their time planting and organizing the system. The Aquaponic Greenhouse is a part of the Saturday guided farm tour, it's really cool.
The tour begins at 10:30 a.m. The guided tour is provided by Tonopah Rob himself. A support the farmer cost for the tour is $5.00 per person or $15.00/per family. This is a great family outing for a Saturday morning. Come out and walk the farm, see the chickens, turkeys and the AG House. I don't know who enjoys the tour more the adults or the children.
If you can't make it to the farm, check out the above tab Directions to the Markets and find a selling location nearest you or email an order and have it shipped to your door.
Other market locations this weekend: Pelina Farmers Market Saturday 9 to 1 p.m. Creative Living Fellowship Farmers Market Sunday from 930 a.m. to 1 p.m. Desert Ridge Farmers Market Sunday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
