Lt. Eric Shine was Congressionally-appointed to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, and graduated as a Naval Officer serving on Special Duty in the U.S. Merchant Marine and an Engineering Officer in the U.S. Merchant Marine in 1991. Up for promotion in 2003/2004 to Lieutenant Commander in the Navy and in the midst of upgrading his marine engineering license to Chief Engineer, charges were brought against him by the Coast Guard (under cover of launching of war in Iraq). He was stripped of his Naval Commission absent due process, and Coast Guard [who he not in and never has been in] proceeded to charge and prosecute him as a civilian within a series of military tribunals [cloaked as "administrative proceedings] over a period of 8 years, even going as far as using Coat Guard [military/ police] JAG Counsel to act as the prosecutor in his case..
Eric comes on the show to talk about the DHS, TSA, USCG and information about the Fourth Branch of Government, or [un-Constitutional] "Adminstrative State" that has grown up around us over the past 120 years.

What does Borderless mean?
This website is for those wanting to expand their horizons and think outside their own cultural boxes. Borders are the things physical or psychological which hold us back from our true potential. In order to progress individually and as a species we must learn to recognize these traps and find ways around them. The focus of the Borderless Blog and Podcast is on practical information for those that are interested in traveling, investing and living in non-conventional markets. I hope that the information here can be helpful in the lives of those who wish to live beyond borders.
The Borderless Crew
James Guzman is a American born writer and investment consultant specializing in non-conventional markets and countries. He is a native of San Diego, California but as the son of a sailor in the US Navy spent his youth around many different cultures and areas. Growing up as a third culture kid has made him accustomed to working with people from many different backgrounds.
James joined the US Navy straight out of high school and was stationed onboard the USS Bataan from 2004-2008 during which he took part in Operation Enduring Freedom and Hurricane Katrina Relief. He then used the GI Bill to go to Saint Louis University in Madrid, Spain and graduated with a Bachelors degree in International Business. He also studied Economics, Philosophy and Political Economy at the Ludwig von Mises Institute in Auburn, Alabama.
Since graduating he has worked as a broker for Euro Pacific Bank, manager of Las Torres Gemelas Hotel in Acapulco and content contributor to many publications. He currently lives in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and helps people with many things pertaining to buying real estate, immigration issues and online marketing. He has been to over 17 countries and lived and worked in six and in addition to investments is also knowledgable of citizenship/residency laws.
Jonathan Lockwood is co-host of The Borderless Podcast. He is a voice talent who records TV & radio commercial voice overs and film and web narrations from his home studio in the high desert, central Mexican town of San Miguel de Allende. Born in Detroit, Lockwood had a fifteen year career in radio broadcasting. Originally an on-air talent, his last radio job was that of Production Director of a group of stations in Flint, Michigan, where he won many major advertising creative accolades, including the Radio Mercury Award presented him along with a check for $20,000 by Dick Clark at New York's Waldorf Astoria Ballroom in 1995.
Lockwood was born into the third generation of a family zealously devoted to what is widely recognized as a religious cult, but it wasn't until age 38 that he awakened to the reality of its falsehood and authoritarian control. He believes the act of recognizing it, admitting it and being shunned by his entire family, while profoundly difficult, was the most important thing that ever happened to him, freeing him to crash through still more of life's borders.
