Defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, Johnny Benson, and his No. 1 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra, began the 2009 season without sponsor.

After getting a two race deal from K&N Filters, Benson's team continued on without sponsorship.

Then Johnny Benson found some sponsorship. It was a gun company. The name was undisclosed, and Benson and the team submitted it to NASCAR for approval.

NASCAR came back and told Benson that the sponsor was disapproved.

But the Fox-owned Speed TV, which broadcasts most of the truck races, threw a wrench into those plans by saying it would avoid putting the sponsor on the air, according to a story at MLive.com.

"We have somebody in the works to do it, but TV said they would avoid us if we had this sponsor, and it's a gun manufacturer," Benson said. "We are not sure why that would be the case, but that's the information they are giving us. We have to choose whether we want to head down that road or not. We would hate to have good finishes and run in the top three and have TV avoid us for that reason.

"Originally, I said NASCAR had revoked that, and it wasn't. NASCAR called me Tuesday after I had said that they had shot it down," Benson added. "Apparently it is the TV. It is a very interesting scenario. We have had other (gun) manufacturers in there, and why it is an issue today, I don't know. I haven't had a conversation with them

[thanks for nothin] A federal appeals court ruled agents had no right to seize baseball's anonymous drug-testing results from 2003, an infamous list that tarnished America's pastime and some of its biggest stars.

The decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is a victory for the players' union, which has argued for years to have the results of the 104 players who allegedly tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003 returned.

Blatter plans to extend a personal invitation to Obama to attend the 2010 World Cup in South Africa when the two meet at the White House on Monday.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Sunday, Blatter said the invitation has been extended and that he will "confirm it" at the meeting.

"I know there are people around the president who are football fans, and that they will make everything possible in his agenda that the president be at the opening of the World Cup or the final," Blatter said.

Plastic Gorilla Feet Give You Twinkle Toes

Traction is incredibly good, due to the grippy material, the separation of the toes, and the addition of siping, or tiny zigzag cuts etched into the soles that expand into little treads as the sole flexes.

The VFFs are also surprisingly comfortable. Each toe is snuggled inside its own little pocket, which is not only cozy, it also gives your feet a surprising amount of feedback about the ground you're standing on. Your toes, freed from their typical leather prisons, act like a tiny topography sensor array.

The victory is the 2nd-biggest upset by an American team, behind only the 1980 Miracle on Ice by the hockey team over the Soviet Union in the Olympics. Those Soviets were state-supported professionals, beaten by amateurs from the United States.

In a damp stadium, with several thousand at Nationals Park bearing witness, Johnson, the dominant force in San Francisco's 5-1 win yesterday against the Washington Nationals, became Major League Baseball's 24th 300-game winner. The moment earned its gravitas not just because of history, but because of finality: No active pitcher behind Johnson has strong odds to reach the benchmark. The next 300-game winner might not come around for another generation, and that's only if the next generation produces workhorses like Johnson, who once threw 260 innings in a season. At age 38.
