Russian Foreign Ministry on Syria, Venezuela and Bolivia

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova (MZ below) commented on a Russophobic NYT propaganda piece, falsely accusing Moscow of bombing hospitals in Syria — a US/NATO speciality, their high crimes blamed on others.

MZ called the Times report "fake news or shoddy work," one of countless examples of how the self-styled newspaper of record and other establishment media operate — substituting state-approved rubbish for hard truths they suppress.

So-called "reliable sources" when cited are phony. None exist in propaganda pieces against sovereign states on the US target list for regime change.

MZ: "The New York Times pretends not to notice (multiple) daily attacks by (US-supported) terrorists…murdering innocent civilians and derailing the nascent peace process in the region by attacking schools, medical facilities, refugee camps, and other civilian infrastructure facilities" — supporting war crimes by the US and its jihadist foot soldiers by ignoring them or blaming them on victims.

Millions of Syrians in Idlib province continue to be held hostage as human shields by US-supported terrorists — the Times and other establishment media reporting nothing about it.

MZ: "There has been much talk about fake news and propaganda – The New York Times article is a perfect example."

So is most everything by the broadsheet on major issues in its daily editions — publishing anti-truth-telling press releases, masquerading as "all the news that's fit to print."

The Times reported nothing about Venezuelan Tourism and Foreign Trade Minister Felix Plasencia, saying:

"Billions of dollars our people own have been (illegally and maliciously) affected by unilateral coercive measures taken by (the Trump regime), violating international law and trying to impose unilateral decisions on the free and sovereign state."

The broadsheet and other establishment media falsely blame Venezuela and other nations harmed by US economic terrorism for high crimes committed against their countries and people.

MZ caled the situation in Venezuela tense — in spite of a marked reduction in orchestrated anti-government protests.

Illegal US sanctions remain in place, aiming to crush Venezuela's economy and immiserate its people, the world community doing nothing to challenge US economic terrorism, a Nuremberg-level high crime, including against Iran, Syria, North Korea, and other nations.

Fascist Colombian Duque regime US envoy Francisco Santos called for stepped up Trump regime covert actions in Venezuela to topple Maduro, adding:

"If this guy doesn't go, Colombia has no future." Since US-designated puppet/usurper in waiting Guaido unconstitutionally self-declared himself Venezuelan president, Colombia has been a staging ground for hostile cross-border actions against the government and its people.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza slammed the Duque regime, tweeting:

"Colombia has been affirming for years that Chavismo destabilizes the region…Meanwhile in a leaked conversation the new foreign minister and ambassador in the US confess how and with whom they conspire to destabilize Venezuela."

MZ: Hostile US actions against the Bolivarian Republic and other nations flagrantly "violat(e) the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states."

"At the same time," Western regimes and media support "excessive use of force against (legitimate) protesters and violations of the constitutional order in other countries."

Commenting on Bolivia, MZ stressed that the self-installed regime "came to power (by a) coup."

Its officials profess "ultra-right sentiments…openly calling for a confrontation between races and classes."

"At the same time," self-declared, unelected, coup d'etat president Anez "issued a decree that shields military personnel and security agencies from responsibility for acts of violence while dispersing protests."

"This decision has led to a sharp increase in the number of victims and was condemned by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights as not corresponding to international human rights standards and also impinging on the law, truth, justice and international standards."

Russia supports "a stable, politically and economically sustainable Latin America, with whom we are friends."

"We want to build mutually beneficial and respectful relations with this region in various spheres" — polar opposite US aims to dominate other countries.

Western regimes and supportive media proliferate fake news about Russia's involvement with regional countries, MZ stressing:

"We can monitor and refute some of these materials, but some of them cannot even be verified because they are multiplying very quickly."

Russia's Foreign Ministry and media report accurately on geopolitical issues. So do independent alternative media, the only reliable sources for news, information and opinion.

MZ stressed that Russia's policy in dealing with other nations "is based on mutual respect, international law, mutual benefit and everything outlined in the UN Charter," as well as other international laws.

Time and again, the US smashes other nations to control them, their resources and populations, operating extrajudicially by its own rules — at the expense of world peace, equity and justice.
