More About: WAR: About that War

Another AUMF Coming?

Another AUMF Coming?

by Stephen Lendman

All US wars are illegally waged on the phony pretext of combating terrorist groups America created and supports.

Following the mother of all false flags 9/11 attack, Congress passed the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF).

Bush signed it into law, giving his administration authority to use "all necessary and appropriate force" against any nations, groups or individuals he designated.

AUMF is illegal. Only Security Council members may permit war by one nation against others - in self-defense alone if attacked or one is imminent, never preemptively.

No nation attacked America. None threatened it earlier or now. The war on terrorism is a fabricated hoax. Washington uses it to wage permanent wars on humanity.

Since the AUMF was signed into law on September 18, 2001, millions perished from war, related violence, preventable diseases, starvation and overall deprivation.

AUMF threatens world peace and stability. All sovereign independent nations are vulnerable - targeted for regime change. Washington wants them transformed in vassal states it controls, perhaps willing to wage nuclear war to achieve its objectives, risking the end of life on earth.

Last week, Senator Todd Young (R. IN) introduced new AUMF legislation. Rep. Jim Banks (R. IN) followed on Wednesday with identical legislation in the House, saying:

"Rather than continuing to fight ISIS under an authorization passed by Congress in 2001 to fight Al-Qaeda, it is time to pass a new authorization for the use of military force against ISIS."

"Congress should take a fresh look at the scourge of ISIS and evaluate the best strategy to defeat these radical extremists."

It's simple if America and its rogue allies stop recruiting, arming, funding, training and directing them.

Another AUMF assures similar horrors following the earlier one - endless wars continued, new ones waged, nations threatening no one raped and destroyed, millions more perishing, an endless cycle of mass slaughter, destruction, chaos and human misery.

America needs administration and congressional leadership courageous enough to wage peace, not endless wars. Otherwise, we're all doomed.
