Comey Whitewashes Hillary Criminality Again

Comey Whitewashes Hillary Criminality Again

by Stephen Lendman

Anyone guilty of Hillary's crimes would face long prison terms. FBI Director James Comey whitewashed them.

He dismissed indictable evidence without recommending charges be brought against her - then repeated his outrage a second time days after his October surprise, reopening his investigation into Hillary's email scandal after 650,000 new ones were discovered.

Clearly, scant review, if any, was conducted over the eight-day period from Comey's October surprise to Sunday's announcement.

The Clintons are untouchable. Despite clear evidence of war crimes, racketeering, perjury, obstruction of justice, fraud, bribery, influence-selling pay-to-play, and Hillary's email scandal, barring a major November surprise, they're heading back to the White House in January for a third co-presidential term.

Comey was pressured, bribed and/or threatened to drop his investigation, timing his announcement nearly on the eve of Tuesday's presidential election, boosting Hillary's candidacy by failing to do his job responsibly. His letter to relevant congressional committee chairmen said the following:

"I write to supplement my October 28, 2016 letter that notified you the FBI would be taking additional investigative steps with respect to former Secretary of State Clinton's use of a personal email server."

"Since my letter, the fBI investigative team has been working around the clock (?) to process and review a large volume of emails (650,000) from a device obtained in connection with an unrelated criminal investigation."

"During the process, we reviewed all of the communications that were to or from Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State."

"Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton."

"I am very grateful to the professionals at the FBI for doing an extraordinary amount of high-quality work in a short period of time."

The investigation into Hillary's email scandal is closed. The probe of the Clinton Foundation continues. Reacting to Comey's Sunday announcement, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus issued a statement, saying:

"The FBI's findings from its criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton's secret email server were a damning and unprecedented indictment of her judgment."

"The FBI found evidence Clinton broke the law, that she placed highly classified national security information at risk and repeatedly lied to the American people about her reckless conduct."

"None of this changes the fact that the FBI continues to investigate the Clinton Foundation for corruption involving her tenure as secretary of state. Hillary Clinton should never be president."

Unapologetic Hillary press agent NYT was jubilant, saying "Mr. Comey's letter swept away her largest and most immediate problem" - earlier saying she has a 93% chance of becoming America's 45th president, on the eve of Tuesday's election, claiming a more conservative, still overwhelming, 84% chance to defeat Trump.

Washington Post editors stuck to their advocacy throughout the campaign, saying Hillary "is amply qualified to be president" - ignoring her deplorable public criminal record.

Wall Street Journal editors got it right, saying "Comey's review of (650,000) newly discovered Hillary Clinton-related emails was never going to change his legal judgment because the FBI and Justice Department handling of the case was never serious in the first place."

On election eve, US voters get to choose between a woman belonging in prison because of multiple high crimes too serious to ignore and a billionaire saying he wants to "drain the (Washington) swamp."
