GHW Bush for Clinton

GHW Bush For Clinton

by Stephen Lendman

Readers and friends at times ask who I support for US president. Anyone following my articles knows my view about America's political process too debauched to fix.

Monied interests and power brokers decide things. Voters have no say whatever. Democracy is pure fantasy, America's privileged class alone served.

Republicans and Democrats are largely indistinguishable, in lock step on all issues mattering most, though this year it's not so simple.

Trump and Clinton both assure endless imperial wars against invented enemies. She risks nuclear war on Russia, China and Iran. He won't likely go that far.

Both candidates are unacceptable. She's recklessly dangerous. He'd rather exploit planet earth for profit than destroy it.

I support Green Party candidate Jill Stein, the only presidential aspirant representing progressive change, a physician wanting her healing skills used to fix a sick nation - anti-war, anti-corporate empowerment, pro-serving everyone equitably and justly.

On September 20, London's Guardian ran a story about GHW Bush intending to vote for Hillary, citing a Facebook post from Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, JFK's niece, RFK's daughter, saying GHW Bush "told me he is voting for Hillary!!"

Maybe GW and Jeb intend the same thing. Bush family spokesman Jim McGrath wasn't saying. Referring to senior Bush alone, he indicated "(t)he vote (he'll) cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote…He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim."

Jeb Bush was in a rough and tumble primary race, dropping out early for lack of support, he and Trump deriding each other in debates and separate comments.

Earlier Jeb said he hadn't decided whether to support "the Libertarian ticket or write in a candidate." Trump and Hillary didn't respond to the Guardian's request for comment, the paper said.
