California and America's Population Pile Up: Solution--Californians for Population Stabilization

If you live in California, you face a daily assault on your sensibilities in the fastest growing state in America.  Already suffering from population bloviation at 38 million people, California adds 1,654 people, net gain, every single day of the week of every month of every year.

(Overpopulation causes more than endless gridlock. It causes road rage, air pollution, water scarcity, water pollution from oil fracking, higher cost in travel, home eating and foods.  Overpopulation undermines America's ability to sustain itself through the 21st century. You can do your part to stop overpopulation in America.)

A whopping 98 percent of that population explosion stems from legal and illegal immigration, birth rates and chain migration.  At California's current immigration-driven growth rate, that magnificent state, faces another 20 million people added to its landmass within 30 years.

Californians fume in gridlock traffic while their fumes exhaust into the polluted skies over Los Angeles and San Francisco.  They suffer from a severe drought gripping that state by the throat, so much so, Leslie Stahl of "60 Minutes" reported a special segment featuring Californians  drinking water that originated in their toilets to end up in their taps.  Heavily chemicalized, of course!

Annually, California's exploding human population growth causes the loss of hundreds of thousands of acres of arable land.  Without cropland, no more central valley which forms the "breadbasket" of this nation.  Concrete and asphalt covers so much of the state that natural rainwater runoff cannot recharge aquifers.  Animal and avian life suffer dozens of extinctions annually.  The fabled California Condor lives on the edge of annihilation from loss of habitat and hunting grounds.

On the Pacific Ocean that runs for nearly 1,000 miles along the California coast, so much sewage, plastics and chemicals exhaust into the water that sea otters, seals, pelicans, Arctic terns and other marine life face uncertain futures.  Yosemite National Park finds itself overwhelmed with tourists to the point of suffering "wilderness gridlock" from the human mob.

But no matter how many human-made problems, consequences or disasters stemming from an unsustainable population load, not one California leader from Governor Brown on down to the city mayors whispers the words: "We're too overpopulated; and we can't solve anything because we can't keep up with population growth; it's all going to get worse instead of better."

Whether it's the Los Angeles Times or the San Francisco Examiner or the San Diego Union Tribune, not one editor allows anyone to publish a word, a sentence or commentary about human overpopulation.  Ironically, with 38 million people suffering from every aspect of overpopulation, none speak up.  Not one single radio talk show host touches the subject of overpopulation.

Everyone continues on the path of "cognitive dissonance", which means, "an intellectual denial of reality."

Not Ms. Jo Wideman, executive director of Californians for Population Stabilization. Ms. Wideman, along with her brilliant staff, works tirelessly to educate, alert and activate over 200,000 members from all over the U.S. and growing—to take action.  She features top scientists, writers and speakers to help citizens understand that overpopulation undergirds every single environmental and social consequence facing not only California, but also the United States and the world.  Her members come from nearly all fifty states.

"We must alert and organize the world's people to pressure world leaders to take specific steps to solve the two root causes of our environmental crises - exploding population growth and wasteful consumption of irreplaceable resources. Over-consumption and overpopulation underlie every environmental problem we face today."   Jacques-Yves Cousteau, Oceanographer

CAPS features compelling TV ads showing how endless immigration displaces jobs for millions of Americans. Endless immigration lowers wages for Americans and costs billions of dollars in education, free breakfasts and lunches as well as medical care.  Tens of thousands of legal and illegal immigrants fill California prisons.  Cash payments cost Californians billions in uncollected taxes.

In the end, how will the people of California survive another 20 million people?  How will America maintain any kind of viability with the projected 100,000,000 (million) more immigrants landing upon our shores in three decades?  If you possess the answer, speak up. If not, what can you do to make a difference?

Finally, you need to ask yourself how your children will survive what they face in their overloaded future.  Instead of becoming self-inflicted victims of history, take a few minutes to join for free:  www.CAPSWeb.org .  Become a part of the pre-written faxing crew that sends letters to your senators and House reps in your state.  Urge your representatives to reduce legal immigration from 1.2 million annually, which equates to 100,000 every 30 days, to less than 100,000 a year.  Demand internal enforcement of work laws, landlord laws and secured borders.

Empower your frustrations into collective action along with other Americans as infuriated as you. Join with a growing army of citizens who want to leave our country a viable and sustainable one for their children.
