His latest sermon “Back to Basics”-- “Science
of effective living: The Great Law of Fulfillment”, Dr. Teel presents a ‘new’ way of thinking
about your spiritual life, physical life, relationship and work life. You might name it ‘ancient wisdom’
amalgamated into ‘new thought’. It stems
from the teachings of Dr. Ernest Holmes
and his insightful book: The Science of Mind and Spirit.
For those of you that live in Denver, Colorado—you may
discover the big white dome on the corner of Garrison and Alameda Ave just off
6th Avenue. Services run at 8: 00, 10:00 and 12:00 every Sunday

Mile Hi’s vision statement: Oneness revealed, a world of
love, peace and abundance for all.
Our mission: To serve as a spiritual beacon for personal power
and global enlightenment.
How does anyone fulfill their dreams, hopes and wishes?
Your daddy might have answered, “Hard work, nose to the
grind stone, get your tail feathers in gear!”
At Mile Hi, you may take courses that show you how to
accomplish anything in your life. Method!
Or, methodology! Or, system! You
learn it; then, you apply it. Application yields results!
“I have incredible gratitude for being held by the
stillness, the silence,” said Dr. Teel. “I love something so grand—“love intelligence,”
the truth of who we are. We enjoy this
connection with the divine intelligence.
We are nurtured. We live in the
field of God.”
Dr. Teel usually begins his sermon, or, as he calls it, a “message”
with a story that ends in some uproarious laughter by the congregation. While the story carries a message, it also
opens up the congregation by disarming everyone’s defenses. Once opened, Dr. Teel pours in new concepts or
understandings. I find myself intrigued
by his skill. Wish all my teachers in my life enjoyed the same talent!
“I give thanks for the beacon of light from Mile Hi Church,”
said Dr. Teel. “We bless all walks of life, all faiths, and all nations to walk
in light and truth. I proclaim health and goodness.
“First, Oprah said, “We can choose love over fear.”
“Second, M. Angela said, “Courage is the most important
virtue. You are not born with courage.”
“Third, Martin Luther King said, “Hatred paralyzes life,
love releases it.”
“Fourth, unarmed love will have the final truth.”
Amazing dimensions of the heart
The ageless Sophie Tucker said that the secret to a long
life, “Keep breathing!”
What is the answer to a quality life? Answer: keep loving!
Dr. Teel said, “Ernest Holmes declared that universal
spiritual principles bring forward the rivers of life. We’re talking about love and law. Invisible potential becomes law. It is actualized by our thought.
Thoughts unfold
and become form. When you pray, believe
that you already have received and it moves to form. We must work toward the high watch and the
law will respond to us.”
As he stands on the vast stage at Mile Hi, I sit under him,
but every once in awhile, I look to my side and backward over my shoulder. Dr. Teel represents the kind of spiritual speaker
that you hang on every word, and you don’t want him to stop. He leaves his audience ‘wanting’ more. Often times, I have stayed for a second service.
Life is the expression and extension of love: spiritual love is the
presence of God
How conscious of it are we?
“Following the principles of Ernest Holmes,” said Dr.
Teel. “My life was renovated. It’s all about opening your heart. Do you have a fearful life? To know God is to open to the “frequency of
love,” God in you and your heart is the vortex to love and God. Heart centered living is my life’s mission.”
If you’re not sure of how I interpret his sermons through my
own grid, you may hear the original sermon by visiting the website and clicking
on the “Sunday message.” It will give
you a clearer understanding of his message. I know that everyone runs his
messages through their own grids along with me.
Dr. Teel told of a story of
a lady at an airport that watched another woman standing at an airport
terminal waiting for her husband. She held
three kids. The door opened and the
father walked toward them. He kissed the
six year old. He kissed the 10 year old.
He held and kissed the two year old with great affection. Then, he kissed the wife.
The lady walked up to the family saying, “I hope I can have
love like yours some day.”
The husband replied, “Don’t
hope! Decide!”
It’s all a decision, your decision.
Healing, manifesting and overcoming
“That’s our spiritual HMO,” said Teel, smiling. “We all face
lessons, betrayals and life challenges.
Healing begins when they find a
way to love. Healing begins when we open
back up.
“Have you ever been in line at the 15 items check out when
someone in front of you carried 30 items up to the cashier? Did you feel angry? Was it worth it?
“I’m still working on my patience with slow drivers.
“We don’t k now the lengths of love. It’s so powerful but we hold back so
often. Therefore, you’re invited into
heart power.”
Greg Braden, a great writer talks about heart centered “belief
waves.” You create a heart, to belief,
to “matter translator.” It connect to the coded language of waves, the
energy moves to reality. It’s the creative force of life.
“When you believe, things become transformed,” said Dr.
Teel. “Heart power is a manifesting power and overcoming power. The heart is our great power for overcoming.
“You may recall the Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo, who won the Noble Prize
recently. They left his award in a
vacant chair in Stockholm, Sweden because the government of China had locked
him up for his outspoken path. He wrote
his wife, “Sweetheart, I am sentenced to a prison; you are sentenced to an
invisible force. I hope to be the last
prisoner and that China will evolve into a country where freedom of thought is
celebrated.”
Xiaobo, freedom lover, carried deep heart power.
“To qualify,” said Dr. Teel. “You need to be willing. Your
HMO is deductible and always prepaid.”
Emmet Fox said, “No difficulty that love can’t conqueror! No error that enough will redeem. No matter
how great the mistake. If you could only love enough you will be the most
powerful being alive.”
“Whatever your cares or concerns, whatever your desires,”
said Dr. Teel. “Take it all into your heart. Let the sunlight of that energy
move into your open and activated heart to transform you. Heart energy brings us the joy of being. Our
whole lives are good, empowered and we go forward with our good.”
Dr. Teel stood back while Sam Cornell stepped up, “Gratitude
before
me, gratitude behind me, gratitude to the left of me, gratitude to the
right of me, gratitude above me, gratitude below me, gratitude within me,
gratitude all around me…I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful.”
“And so it is, so I am and so we are,” said Dr. Teel.
