I thought I'd post some of the more interesting stuff from Daily Kos, many of the authors on which have decided to make us their immortal enemies. Other authors on Daily Kos we could just start pasting in here at FreedomsPhoenix and nobody would know they are liberals. Some wicked smart people over there. And besides, on the sense of humor level, they have us so totally beat.

 

The "teabagging" thing, I don't care what anybody says but we walked into that one blind and man, nothing we can say will help at this point. If we say "low hanging fruit", well, that ain't going to help is it? If we admit to having egg on our face that will just make it worse. Sometimes you just have to grin and bear it. It is pretty funny, just admit it. Teabag the White House. If you don't get the joke maybe it's better you just forget about the whole thing, trust me, you don't want to know.

 

Well this Youtube link, it's not particularly humorous, but this liberal dude gets up in front of a huge ass crowd of us and whoever joined us on that day, and he tells the people the truth they aren't ready to hear.

 

He was in Pensacola Florida. Not exactly a bastion of free speech. Not exactly liberal Nirvana. If you listen, he starts out giving honor and respect to veterans and those serving in the armed forces and he proceeds to make the point that GWB screwed up the economy and good. Which is the truth. See it for yourself.

 

I think many of us are comparing notes on this incarnation of Tea Party and the feedback from the nation is unmistakable: they didn't get it. However, it turned out to be a great way for us to meet new people and hook them into our whole trip. I feel strongly that we have to identify ourselves in people's minds as being distinct from the neocon talking heads that were so unkind and merciless to us just short months ago during the campaigns.

Our memory goes back to 1776 and beyond. I hope we can remember who our friends WEREN'T when it made a difference. And I think this video shows that we can find friends in unlikely places. Sometimes a true friend is the person who tells you what you don't want to hear.
