On August 23, 2007, the hosts of Free Talk Live, an online talk radio show in New Hampshire, discussed my experience at a suspicionless Homeland Security checkpoint. The show's archive is available online here.

For those unfamiliar with the incident, the Homeland Security checkpoint originally took place on April 14, 2005. I posted a web page regarding the incident shortly after being stopped that includes photos, video, and audio of the encounter. I also wrote a feature article regarding the incident on Freedom's Phoenix titled Your Papers Please.

The hosts of Free Talk Live did a good job of parsing the audio from my encounter and added valuable commentary to the discussion of the incident. As such, I recommend giving the show a listen.

Given Homeland Security plans to establish a permanent suspicionless checkpoint facility in Southern Arizona, many more individuals will soon be subjected to these types of intrusive & unconstitutional interactions with agents of the federal government. As such, the more people that become aware of how the government continues to violate our right to travel and our right to be free from unreasonable search and seizure, the better. Especially when folks discover they're not the only one's disturbed by the ever-increasing police state presence permeating the American experience.
