A mobile abortion clinic from Planned Parenthood will be offering free medication abortions as well as vasectomies near the DNC in Chicago next week. The Great Rivers Planned Parenthood  made the announcement on its X account this past week.

Planned Parenthood of Great Rivers posted, "Here we come, Chicago! Our mobile health clinic will be in the West Loop with Chicago Abortion Fund & the Weiners Circle Aug 19-20, providing FREE vasectomies & medication abortion. EC will also be available for free without an appointment." Planned Parenthood Great Rivers operates in parts of Missouri as well as Illinois.

To make an appointment for a free abortion or vasectomy, Planned Parenthood provided Google form to fill out that reads, "Planned Parenthood Great Rivers is bringing our mobile health care unit to the DNC! We are offering vasectomy and medication abortions from the mobile unit in the West Loop. Services will be provided on a sliding-fee scale — pay what you can and get the health care you need."
One can sign up for a spot on Aug. 19 or 20 for a free abortion. Vasectomy appointments are in high demand and are full, however, there is a waitlist available. People who do not register online can also go in person without an appointment.

Democratic nominee Kamala Harris—who has a thing for busses—as well as her VP pick Tim Walz are both in favor of abortion. A pro-abortion demonstration is expected to take place just outside the DNC, according to the New York Times. There will be an 18-foot-tall inflatable IUD along with other demonstration props. The inflatable's name is reportedly, "Freeda Womb." There will also be a "Hotties for Harris" event hosted by pro-abortion activists.
