(Publisher's Note)
Must be An Election year. This is Drudge Report announcing the beginning of WW3.
Gee what can we expect from Drudge for news coverage? I try to balance out our coverage of News and Views here on Freedom's Phoenix with alternative view points and biases, But Damn.

Since 2005, the beginning of Freedom's Phoenix as a news aggregator (heck 'aggregator' wasn't even a word that I knew for years after our creation) I'm sure all of our editing staff had Drudge as one of the pages we would check for breaking news. Over the years it was clear that it was in decline and then it was sold and sold out... or got 'bought'. It has gotten bad enough over the last few months that I have moved Drudge down my Quick Link list and have rarely used anything reported from that source for the past few years. I don't mind a bit of bias since our goal has been to allow the readers to figure bias out for themselves and use various perspectives to be more fully informed or at least be aware of the BS being propagated by all of the media,.. but blatant propaganda is sooo eeeew and has little value no matter what bias you wish confirmed.

Top of Drudge with the start of WW3 and a cool Biden photo I visit some pretty bad sites to provide a wide radar screen of information blips for our readers, but Damn...

WASHINGTON — The United States launched attacks against Iran-backed militias in Iraq and Syria on Friday, its first retaliatory strikes for the killing of three American soldiers in Jordan last weekend.

U.S. military forces struck more than 85 targets at seven facilities, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters. U.S. Central Command said the facilities included command and control operations, intelligence centers, rockets and missiles, and drone storage sites.

"Our response began today. It will continue at times and places of our choosing," President Joe Biden said in a statement. "The United States does not seek conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world. But let all those who might seek to do us harm know this: If you harm an American, we will respond."
