He called South Africa's case against Israel a "barrage," 84 pages of documented evidence supporting its claim that Israel is committing genocide

Norman Finkelstein, a top scholar on Middle East affairs, said in an interview on Friday that the International Court of Justice's interim judgment on South Africa's genocide case against Israel was a "stunning victory," and an embarrassment for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Finkelstein called the ruling a "complete and total rebuff of the Israeli claims made before the court," he told The Katie Halper Show.

He called South Africa's case against Israel a "barrage," 84 pages of documented evidence supporting its claim that Israel is committing genocide. He said it was an "incredible performance" by South Africa that used top UN and humanitarian agencies as sources. By contrast, Israel cited its own government and news media.

"The South African presentation was so extraordinary, it almost brings tears to your eyes, because they had no stake in this," he said. He said the case was so well-researched, it must have taken a large South African team a month to compile.
