He denied going inside the Capitol. Epps was charged two and a half years after the protest at the Capitol with a Class A misdemeanor for disorderly conduct on restricted grounds; he pleaded guilty. The maximum sentence for the charge Epps faces is one year in prison, one year of supervised release and a fine. He will be sentenced on December 20, 2023.
Republican Congressman Barry Loudermilk is heading a House investigation on the January 6 Committee. He revealed footage of an undercover Metropolitan police officer helping people climb up scaffolding to reach the upper west terrace to enter the Capitol. Other video shows officers saying that they were "set up".
