Ukraine has pummeled another Russian Navy warship, with pictures showing smoke billowing from one of the Black Sea Fleet vessels.

An explosion rocked Sevastopol Bay on October 13 when the Russian Buyan missile carrier was attacked in Crimea.

The Buyan-M-class small missile ship, known to carry Russia's Kalibr missiles, was hit according to the "Krymsky veter" Telegram channel.

Residents in the city center reported hearing a "muffled explosion," leading to car alarms being triggered.

Ukrainian Pravda sources in the Security Service of Ukraine have not disclosed much detail on the attacks, but said the vessel was hit by Sea Baby drones with experimental weapons.

One organiser said: "After the first explosion, Russian minesweepers and divers were unable to detect our know-how.

"Yesterday, the Alrosa submarine was lucky and managed to escape our inventions so far."

The attack comes two days after Russia's Pavel Derzhavin was blown up by the SSU and Ukrainian Navy in similar circumstances.

Kyiv has pushed to retake Crimea since the war began in February 2022, after the region was annexed by Russia in 2014.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine's gains from their southern counter-offensive could allow them to push into Crimea last month.

Speaking at a recent meeting of French ambassadors in Paris, Mr Kuleba said: "Having entrenched on its [Robotyne's] flanks, we are opening the way to Tokmak and, eventually, Melitopol and the administrative border with Crimea."
