Google has shown in court documents that it provides this data to law enforcement by looking up people found in any geographic area at a certain time. 

This is used selectively. For example, it was used in the Jan 6 Capitol riots.
Courts have repeatedly questioned whether the use of this is an abuse of the Fourth Amendment (on unreasonable search and seizure).
