Chick-fil-A has been praised by customers for bringing in a controversial new rule to help deal with 'rowdy' customers'.

A branch of the chain in Royersford, Pennsylvania, announced a ban on under 16s attending the restaurant without adult supervision.

Staff there said that while they 'love being a community restaurant', they were left with no choice but to take a stand as children and teens regularly engaged in 'unacceptable behaviors'.

These included trashing the restaurant, disrespecting employees and unsafe activities like walking through the Drive Thru.

The move was in response to parents allegedly leaving their kids at the Urban Air activity center, where the fast food restaurant is based, for several hours, with some online accusing them of using it as 'daycare'.
