It is the world's largest and most powerful battery storage with a total capacity of 182.5 MW. This station consists of 256 Tesla Megapacks, capable of storing up to 730 MWh, and expandable up to 1.1 GWh. But what does this building mean for the green energy industry, and why might we be witnessing a revolution in clean energy storage? Even with the dawn of the massive introduction of renewable energy sources - mainly solar and wind power plants - a problem arose. Due to cloudiness and constant variability of the wind, new types of power plants sometimes provided a large amount of electricity, then completely stopped working. The time of day also played a major role. This forced the construction of many more solar panels or wind turbines, which led to even greater distortions - in certain weather, the capacity of the stations exceeded the needs of the population!
