Steele, a British former intelligence officer, reported that the Russians had compromising information on Donald Trump and were blackmailing him

Last week one of Steele's key sources, Igor Danchenko, was charged with lying to the FBI about his sources

Schiff insisted that the fact that Trump had been aided by Russian disinformation still stood, regardless of new questions about the Steele dossier

Ortagus told Schiff that he had lost all credibility for believing in and promoting the document
