Elon Musk has confirmed that he and Grimes are 'semi-separated' after three years together 

Twitter exploded with jokes memes about the couple who often argued on the social media platform  

The couple welcomed their first child X Æ A-Xii (name pronounced Ex Ash A Twelve) in May 2020; Musk has fathered six other children

The SpaceX and Tesla CEO said that the split was mostly due to distance; Musk recently moved to Texas but Grimes remained in LA  

Musk and Grimes were first reported to be dating in May 2018; they were last spotted together leaving New York City after attending the Met Gala
