North Korea launches two ballistic missiles as fears grow of nuclear capability
• TodayUKNewsThe launch was said to have happened on Wednesday
North Korea has fired two ballistic missiles, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said on Wednesday, amid fears over the state's nuclear capabilities.
Japan's Coast Guard also said an object that could be a ballistic missile had been fired from the secretive state.
The coast guard later said the projectile appeared to have landed outside the country's 'exclusive economic zone.'
The launch from the east coast came after North Korea said it successfully tested a new long-range cruise missile last weekend, calling it "a strategic weapon of great significance."
