The Capitol's Attending Physician, Brian Monahan, is now advising Congressional members and staff to wear a "well-fitted" super mask while inside. The new rule applies to vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. This directive follows her previous order on vaccinations for all on Capitol Hill.

Republican Representative Thomas Massie tweeted: "Might as well come into my office and arrest my entire staff. We are not wearing masks. I support the Capitol Hill Police, but the Chief of Police made a mistake here. The physician and the chief of police don't have this authority." Representative Steve Scalise sent this tweet: "To be clear: Pelosi is directing police to ARREST vaccinated people who aren't wearing masks. Speaker-of-the-House Nancy Pelosi ordered Capitol Police to arrest staff and visitors who fail to comply with her new mask mandate on the House side of the Capitol complex starting Thursday.

For lawmakers, Pelosi advised not arresting but "reporting Members to SAA for their failure to comply."

"I cannot comply with this tyrannical order," Rep. Cammack said. "This is the people's house, not Nancy Pelosi's house."
