Carlson said that the NSA wanted to take his show off the air

In a Twitter statement on Tuesday, the NSA said: 'This allegation is untrue'

'Tucker Carlson has never been an intelligence target of the Agency and the NSA has never had any plans to try to take his program off the air,' the agency added

Moments later Carlson doubled down on his accusations on his show - calling the NSA's statement 'infuriatingly dishonest'

He said the Biden administration 'ignored the story because they know it's true'

Former President Donald Trump responded to Carlson's allegations by saying: 'I think it's true. It's totally believable'
