When Gina Carano was fired and in a very public manner gaslight by the powers that be at Lucasfilm's Kennedy faction, they expected some limited pushback from her fans over this - but that everyone would move on by the next newscycle, and that the only lasting effect would be that a blow had been dealt to the rival Favreau faction.
