Covid Scotland: Mass-immunisation centre planned in 'every Scottish city'

• Edinbergh Live

Plans are in place to distribute one million Covid vaccinations next month in Scotland, the Sunday Times reports.

The national newspaper has revealed that every large Scottish city will get a dedicated mass-immunisation centre to roll out the jab over eight months.

It comes as Scotland recorded 39 deaths from coronavirus and 1,596 new cases overnight in Scotland.

Pop-up centres to protect the population are expected to be created at large sites, such as conference centres, the paper claims.

The operators of sites identified as being suitable for conversion into mass-immunisation centres are being placed on alert to be ready from early December.

On Friday, Sturgeon confirmed that discussions are under way between all four UK nations over the procurement of a jab.
