Carlson previously set the record for most total viewers earlier in 2020, amidst the violent Black Lives Matter riots.

Carlson was the most significant contributor to Fox News' ratings dominance throughout the month of October, pulling in a nightly average of 5.36 million viewers and over 1 million adults in the highly coveted 25-54 marketing demographic.

In July, Carlson set the world record for cable news program ratings with an average of 4.3 million nightly viewers. He has now broken his own record and surpassed it by over one million average viewers.

Fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity was the only other host in the cable news business to average over 5 million total viewers, which makes the fact that the network hosts both of the biggest record-breaking programs in the country all the more impressive.
