This video appeared on Twitter on around 18th August 2020 in which an ex US Veteran and business owner – Carlos Zapata stood up in a council meeting in Shasta County, California to speak passionately about the suffering caused to starving families by the response to the Covid "pandemic".

"I'm pretty appalled at what's going on.. at the cowardice, you sitting there with masks on, I don't blame you for wearing masks because I would be hiding my face too if I were you. Right now we're being peaceful… but not for much longer"
