Harvard promotes claim that '2+2=5'
• Natural NewsIn a Twitter thread published at the beginning of August, Harvard doctoral student Kareem Carr explained why some theorists believe that two plus two equals five. Carr claims that mathematical equations, such as two plus two equals four, are abstractions.
On Sunday, the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health promoted Carr's thread, inviting questions about the current quality of a Harvard education.

There isn't any "2," except in abstractions. There is only "1" in reality. Why? Because there can only be 2 if they are both exactly the same and hold exactly the same space at the same time. All numbers beyond "1" are abstractions, because in reality they are all different in some way. All fractions or decimals are abstractions. There is only 1 - 1 of each.
