According to ECU 911, the snowfall is recorded on the road to Papallacta, in the Virgen de Papallacta sector. Likewise, there are reports that the temperature is very low in the area.  The climatic phenomenon affects the highway that connects the province of Pichincha with the Amazon. Personnel from the National Police and the Quijos Fire Department are at the scene, according to information issued a few minutes before 07:30 by the entity.
