This is the endearing moment two bear cubs go for a dip in a children's paddling pool in a backyard.

The adorable bears were spotted in South Lake Tahoe, California, going for a swim in a pool in someone's yard. 

Footage shows the cubs as they splash about in the water, standing on their back legs and play fighting.

One of the two makes a dash for a nearby tree and climbs up the trunk, wrapping its arms round to hold on.

The cub in the pool stands on the edge and waits for the bear to come down from the tree.

The pair rush from the backyard, with one cub scurrying under the outdoor seating to keep up. 

The woman filming the video said: ''While I was laying in bed I heard some noises coming from my backyard.

'When I looked outside my window I saw two cubs playing in my daughter's pool.'

The video was taken on August 11.
