Californian Governor Gavin Newsom released a list of lockdown activities residents can still undertake 

It include s climbing trees, bike riding, watching the sunrise, meditating  singles badminton and photography

Critics took to social media to complain their brains were being policed and called Newsom 'tyrannical' 

Harmeet Dhillon, Californian Republican Party vice chairwoman, said he had 'gone off the deep end'  

Modoc County in northern California announced it would defy his lockdown orders by opening restaurants 

Huntington Beach and Dana Point have also voted to sue the governor for closing the beaches in their cities

Rural and northern communities have also questioned why they face the same lockdown standards as LA 

Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes also vowed 'not to take enforcement action' 

As of Friday morning Orange County had 2,393 cases, after a spike of 145 in 24 hours, and 45 fatalities

The state has 50,411 confirmed infections and 2,046 people have died
