BORIS Johnson is on course to lose the first round of an epic 48-hour battle for Brexit against Tory rebels and Jeremy Corbyn tonight - putting Britain on course for an election.

Just hours after the PM lost his tiny Commons majority this afternoon in explosive scenes in the Commons, he's now on track to lose his first Parliamentary battle over our EU exit.

MPs are set to seize control of Parliament before 10pm tonight and will try and force through laws to stop a No Deal Brexit - dubbed a 'Surrender bill' by Boris - tomorrow.

Government sources predicted they would the crunch vote - one Cabinet minister said it could be by as many as 20.

The extraordinary chain of events could see Parliament plunged into a historic crisis.

The PM wants to then call a general election to break the deadlock and win a majority to wrest back control of the Commons and be able to go the EU with a strong hand to force a new deal.
