In a new global study by luggage storage provider Stasher, Russia's Sheremetyevo International Airport has been revealed to be the most punctual airport in the world with the least flight delays, compared to 105 of the world's other biggest airports.

In the study, Sheremetyevo was the only airport with less than 10 percent of delayed flights over a year. Just 6 percent of flights were delayed for longer than 15 minutes.

Sheremetyevo International is also ranked as the overall best airport in the world in Stasher's study, receiving top scores for key categories including affordable parking costs, airport hotel quality and the number of lounges it offers passengers.

The airport celebrates the 60th anniversary of the opening on August 11, 2019. In recent years, Sheremetyevo has made several improvements including faster Wi-Fi, design features and a new terminal.
