Cops pose as construction workers to nab texting drivers

But some drivers quickly learned those in the yellow vests were not doing road work.

They were cops in disguise.

Police in Cobb County, Georgia, went undercover to nab texting drivers or those who won't put down their phones in violation of the hands-free law.

It's a push to stop distracted driving and make roads safer for everyone.

The first offense for those who did't put down their phones comes with a $50 fine, followed by $100 and $150 fines for the second and third offense.

Officers handed out more than 60 tickets in just three hours of work.
