China National Nuclear Corporation Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Phase I Project No. 1 and No. 2, and China General Nuclear Power Group (CGNPC) Huizhou Taipingling Nuclear Power Phase I Project No. 1 and No. 2 were approved.

Westinghouse's AP1000 nuclear reactors were previously the reactors for those projects but other AP1000 projects had cost overruns and delays.

2. South Korea has approved the operation of 1400 MWe unit 4 at the Shin Kori nuclear power plant.

3. The Chinese government has approved 24 offshore wind projects off Jiangsu Province. The projects will have a total capacity of 6.7GW and willcost $18 billion. The wind farms are expected to be operational by the end of 2020.
