Russian warships loaded with cruise missiles Kalibre sailing to the Aegean -

• ProNews

Two Russian cruisers, "Kalibr NK", the frigates Admiral Grigorovich and Admiral Essen, ships that have "smoked" several times the Mediterranean with Islamic missile projectiles in Syria, are currently sailing to the Aegean Sea in the direction of Eastern Mediterranean.

Yesterday they passed through the Dardanelles Strait with an ammunition load that probably also includes Zircon missiles except Kalibr. Zircon is unstoppable by anti-missile systems and achieves 8 Mach speeds (or 2,722.3 meters per second) and hit targets at a distance of 1000 km!

The Admiral Grigorovich class has a normal displacement of 3,260 tonnes and a maximum of 4,036 tonnes. Its length is 124.8 meters, width 15.2 meters and draft 4.2 m.

The main weapon launcher of the class is the eight-sided 3S-14E vertical launcher that can either carry Kalibr, Zircon, or 3M55 Oniks missiles.

The 3M55 Oniks (SS-N-26 for NATO) is the surface-surface version of the P-800 Yakhont ultrasonic projectile intended for export and can still be launched from coastal bases and submarines

The anti-aircraft defense of the ship is provided by a combination of Shtil-1 missiles for medium distances from the Igla system for short distances and by the Kashtan anti-missile / near missile defense.

Yesterday at noon two hours later the two ships after crossing the cliff of the mountain village of Kilibhahir, where the castle of the same name is located, the two warships took a course towards the Aegean Sea.
