Two police officers who reportedly obtained marijuana edibles during a dispensary raid, tried them out while they were on the job, and called for help when they began hallucinating.

Two police officers have been suspended after they called for back-up, and the responding officer discovered that they were hallucinating from marijuana edibles—which they reportedly confiscated while raiding a dispensary.

CP24 reported that the officers consumed marijuana edibles while on duty, and then "called for help after one of the officers ended up in a tree." The female officer who responded to the call "slipped and sustained a serious head injury."

In response to the incident, Toronto Police Association President Mike McCormack refused to name the individuals, but said that there was an ongoing investigation and the suspects "could be charged or they could just be cleared through the investigation."

"All I can tell you is that there is an ongoing investigation," McCormack said. "I'm not aware of the specific allegations around the investigation and I'm not going to comment or speculate until the investigation is complete."
