George Clooney's wife Amal would not let him run for President but fellow actor Tom Hanks is considering it, former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown has said.

There has been speculation that Clooney, 56, who supported the campaigns of Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 and backed Hillary Clinton in 2016, will one day run for the White House.

The actor married human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in 2014 and she gave birth to twins Ella and Alexander this year.
