Trump vs. Putin -- what to expect

President Donald Trump touched down midday Thursday in Germany, the eve of his first meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Ahead of the Group of 20 summit, a meeting of the 20 largest economic countries in the world, Democratic leaders are urging the president to "confront" Putin — not work with him.

Even the media is cheering on a showdown… and are expected to attack Trump's connection to Russia if he doesn't deliver.

However, any liberals expecting the fireworks to fly when the two sit down with other world leaders gathering in Hamburg are likely going to be disappointed Friday.

Expect Trump to rally the world leaders into action to stop North Korea from developing nuclear weapons, not a showdown of globalists bent on world destruction that Democrats are hoping for.

Trump has said in the past he's willing to work with Putin to improve U.S.-Russian relations, and that his major focus will be organizing a unified effort against North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

The president spent the first half of the day in Poland, delivering a stirring speech to a packed crowd before holding a joint press conference with Poland's president. During his speech, Trump made a point to call out Putin for his aggression around the world, and urged the Russian strongman to work with the United States — not against us.
