Any individual, these days, with more than a couple of "little gray cells" to rub together (of course this automatically excludes most Hollywood types and all left wing media and politicians) frequently wonders why Europe in general and Germany in particular seem as Hell-bent on committing cultural suicide as a galloping horde of lemmings dashing for the edge of the abyss, and absolutely determined to take that final, fatal plunge whether the European people in general or the German people in particular want to go with them or not.

I refer, of course. to admitting prodigious numbers of "refugees" from Middle Eastern, predominantly Muslim countries that appear somehow to have missed the Italian Renaissance (if not the discovery of fire), the Protestant Reformation, the Magna Carta and the Bill of Rights, and are still mired in some particularly vicious and violent corner of the Dark Ages, philosophically, politically, ethically, and scientifically.
