Eat like a pro: Tom Brady launches his own super clean meal delivery service

(Natural News) No one can argue that Tom Brady is one of the best players in NFL history. At 39 years of age, he is still one of the toughest, most physically fit players in the league and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. In fact, he seems to be at the peak of his career, after leading the New England Patriots to a historic comeback to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl 51. His mental focus and tip top physical shape can be attributed to his determination to be number one in his craft. He made the decision to implement a regimen of "clean eating … early nights and gut-wrenching workouts," as reported by ABC News.

While early nights and the physical stamina required for NFL workouts are impossible for everyday working folks, there is now a way for the average American to at least eat like a sports superstar. Brady, in collaboration with PurpleCarrot.com, has created TB12 Performance Meals. He has merged his philosophy of healthy food preferences and nutritional insights with the food delivery service. Purple Carrot offers a subscription of healthy food specializing in proteins found in a plant based diet. On a weekly basis, Purple Carrot ships boxes to your doorstep packed with "everything you need to prepare delicious meals."

Now, Brady's TB12 Performance Meals are on tap as a Purple Carrot weekly option, supplying meals that are gluten free, 100 percent plant-based, high in protein, very limited in soy or refined sugar and free of any processed ingredients. "The TB12 Performance Meals," the two-time MVP winner told CNBC, "are designed for anyone whose looking to achieve or sustain peak performance."

Menus change weekly, but the TB12 Performance Meals offered at the time of this writing would entice anyone to eat their vegetables. How about Cauliflower Steaks with Sweet Pepper Pesto and Smashed Potatoes? Or a Crispy Tofu with Pumpkin Seed Mole, Spanish Rice and Chayote Squash? The subscription includes three meals per week, each with two servings for $78, which averages out to $13 per meal. All the TB12 Performance meals, reports Purplecarrot.com, are either what the Brady family eats, or are inspired by the TB12 nutritional guidelines, detailed here:
