Announcement: In regards to today's shutdown of r/pizzagate

• reddit.com

It has come to our attention that the subreddit r/pizzagate was shut down today because the admins said they had seen personal information posted without being addressed, and they also claim that the community of r/pizzagate had not been able to stay within the guidelines of site-wide rules.

Although r/pizzagate was not affiliated with r/the_donald and neither community shared the same moderation team, a lot of our community frequented their community and vice versa.

With that being said, this is why we do not tolerate doxxing or the release of PII in any way, shape, or form on our subreddit. As it is has been seen with the fate of r/pizzagate, the admins of Reddit take this very seriously, and not closely following this site-wide rule as a community can put any subreddit at jeopardy.

We are going to have to be extra vigilant about the moderation of this in the upcoming days and weeks in the wake of the shutdown of r/pizzagate.

We ask our community to please help us moderate any and all doxx information/PII by reporting it to the moderation team of r/the_donald. Our community is the first defense in protecting the integrity and ensure the longevity of this subreddit.
