The Real Deal: Looks like we finally have some intel on why Jyn Erso is so important. Well, maybe. The fan site Stitch Kingdom has the official plot synopsis for Catalyst, a prequel novel tying in to Rogue One, and it reveals that not only is Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen) the father of Felicity Jones' Jyn, but he's also the man behind the weapons system in the Death Star.
