Infowars Hacked by Turkish Government?

Infowars.com is undergoing a massive hack attack across all platforms today, with the main website and all social media accounts being targeted.

The hacker is posting fake news stories relating to a military coup in Turkey and President Recep Erdogan being removed from office.

The hack has hit our Twitter accounts. They've successfully taken over Paul Watson's account:

#Coup d'etat in #Turkey. #Erdogan escaped. Thousands of people took to the streets #RIOT https://t.co/nQbVJdjJNz https://t.co/jOCKTPqHpP

— Paul Joseph Watson (@PrisonPlanet) December 29, 2015

They've also infiltrated reporter David Knight's account and others, however all the main systems are secure and firewalled off.

Alex Jones' analysis from basic sources is this is an attempt to post disinformation about Erdogan by the Turkish government and ISIS affiliated groups to discredit Infowars, a source of news used by the Syrian government, RT and others – as our operation has tried to inform the US military that western powers have been backing Al Qaeda as laid out in recently uncovered Pentagon documents.

Infowars has previously been highly critical of Erdogan and his government's role in protecting ISIS.

In 2013, Infowars was also instrumental in influencing members from several branches of the US military to unite and declare they would not fight for Al Qaeda in the Syrian civil war.

We are unsure at this time who is behind the attack and will update our audience when we have more information.
