To honor the victims of Friday night's terrorist attack in Paris, France, the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions held a moment of silence before their game at Lambeau Field.

One of the fans didn't get the memo, however, and yelled so loudly that even the players on the field could hear him, "Muslims suck!"

After the game – which the Packers lost to the Lions, 18-16, — Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers voiced his dismay at hearing the inappropriate comment.

He said of the moment of silence:

"I think it's important to do things like that. We're a connected world — you know, six degrees of separation."

As Business Insider reports, the powerful moment was dampened, however, by one fan's nasty remarks.

He said at the press release:

"I must admit I was very disappointed with whoever the fan was who made a comment that I thought was really inappropriate during the moment of silence. It's that kind of prejudicial ideology that I think puts us in the position we are in today."
