But with that being said; I feel this list is a good starting point and a thrust in the right direction, of the bear-minimum amount of gear. .

I have purposely left out such items as cookware, clothing and other everyday household items, for the fact every home should already have a plentiful supply of these everyday staples. I have also not included food, barter goods or firearms since these have already have been or will be covered in more detail here.

I have tried to keep this list as short and to the point as possible, including only items I feel to be absolutely essential. Sure you could survive with less, but with some basic gear things become less of a challenge. If nothing else it should generate discourse – let's get started…
