The vaccine choice movement claims it's not anti vaccine, but rather against being forced by the government to vaccinate children. According to a recent poll, 72% of Californians think parents and doctors- not politicians- should make decisions about vaccinating children. A recent poll of 1,000 California residents, conducted by SurveyUSA showed that: 72% of Californians believe the final say on vaccination should rest with parents working with children's doctors, not with politicians. 54% of Californians believe that children have a right to a public education regardless of their vaccination status. Only 34% disagree. 56% of Californians agree with the statement that "Parents have a fundamental right to health care choices on behalf of their children, free from governmental interference, whether those choices are based upon scientific research, medical necessity, philosophical beliefs, or religious values."
