Farm Fund Raiser Dinner is planned for March 2015 / Veggie List 11/8/15
• Tonopah RobOn the tables this week are colorful radish bunches.
On Saturday March 21, 2015, Tonopah Rob is hosting a dinner under the stars. It's going to be a casual but elegant night to wine and dine a meal from the farm. From the Arizona Culinary Institute, Chef Christopher Wolf and company are planning a delicious million star dinner. All produce will be harvested the day of the meal and preparations will begin soon after the harvest. Pierre's Prime Beef Ranch is donating the beef for the meal. Also, there will be an hour or so long concert by a local band playing blue grass and old-time country classics. Dessert will be served along with the concert.
Tonopah Rob would like to have a full house for the event. It would be a great blessing to have many step up to the plate and give back to the farm. The farm needs more fruit trees and more desert Mesquite trees. As you know honey bees are disappearing at alarming rates and Rob needs more trees to feed his bees and Rob knows people would like to see more fruit on the farm. Trees are very expensive, at least the size it takes to plant and begin fruiting the following season. The goal is to plant at least 150/200 trees. Also planned is the new aquaponic greenhouse. Rob wants to farm naturally raised tilapia, catfish and maybe bass. It takes a lot of money to make this happen. It is very expensive to farm naturally and raise nature grown vegetables and soon fish. If you care about where your food comes from then Rob encourages you to pull out your checkbook and give back to the farm.
Come out and see the gang. Hear No is front left of center and Big Red on the right.
It is very important for people to support Rob's honest and ethical farming practices. And, as you the customer/supporter come to the farm, you can tell by the improvements small and large Rob puts the money back into the land and continues a better than organic farming method. Rob thinks if you only knew how expensive it is to farm an all natural nature grown methods you would better understand how important it is to give to a real farmer.
Tickets are on sale now. Depending on where you would like to sit tickets are 150.00 dollars and 200.00 dollars for the head table. A vegetarian and beef dinner are planned for the event.
